Who We Are

We have spent decades as growth and venture investors - raising capital, selecting investments, serving on boards, and driving returns for our limited partners. We know how to manage your portfolio because we’ve managed our own.

Two Meter Capital was founded by veteran investor Matt Krna in 2024. His objective is for Two Meter to be the best possible partner to the investment managers we work with, providing a capable set of hands to help them achieve their objectives and maximize the outcomes for their portfolios.

We believe deeply in technology’s ability to drive positive change in the world, but acknowledge that building transformative businesses takes time. Market realities may preclude an investment team from seeing the seeds they plant reach maturity; we are here to help fulfill visions and realize outcomes for our partners.

We are collaborative operators - we seek alignment with our clients and strive to parallel our economic outcomes with theirs. Our ethos is accountability, competence, intelligence and humility.

“Unique among investors, Matt came to Remitly with not only a track record of success but also a lot of empathy and humility. His advice was always well-considered and constructive, and grounded in a common vision he and I shared for the business.”

Matt Oppenheimer - Founder/CEO of Remitly (Nasdaq: RELY)

Matt was an extremely active member of our board. From helping to attract senior talent to spearheading strategic initiatives, he delivered on his promise of adding meaningful value to the business. His advice and insights were deeply informed by not only his knowledge of our business, but also his broader experience and pattern recognition as an investor.”

Why focus on venture/growth?

VC and growth portfolios are unique in several important ways, and as a result require a unique set of capabilities to that we as Two Meter Capital are able to offer our clients.

First, VC/growth portfolios take a long time to reach maturity, often far longer than investors initially estimate and often longer than the lives of the funds themselves.

Second, downstream decisions, sometimes made years after the initial investment was made, can be critical to portfolio performance. Foll0w-on investment decisions - which companies to continue to back versus which to let go - and decisions around when to drive for a liquidity event can make or break an individual investment.

Third is the importance of creating consensus. Given that most VC and growth investments are minority in nature, knowing how to exercise influence and navigate the various rules and restrictions takes experience and connections.

Leveraging our decades of experience working closely with entrepreneurs, CEOs, investors, board members and LPs, we bring to bear a set of portfolio management capabilities that other consultants lack. For investors who wish to invest the responsibility of day-to-day management to a new set of hands, Two Meter represents the experienced choice.

Why “Two Meter”?

In water polo the two-meter player, also called a set or hole set, is stationed just in front of the opposing team’s goalie, a little more than two meters from the cage. The two-meter player’s job is to establish a strong position, receive a clean pass from their teammate and, through strength and agility, find a way to score.

Play at two meters is highly physical, requiring combination of muscularity, mental toughness, speed, technique and improvisation.

We see our role at Two Meter Capital as filling the same trusted role for our clients - using all of our skill and effort to create winning outcomes for their portfolios.
